CLASSROOM RULES


MISS GRAY’S CLASSROOM RULES

1.  Be prepared for class. Bring everything that you will need for that class such correct books, pens, pencils, and papers. If you need to use a pen, pencil, or paper ask the teacher to borrow supplies from her. There will be some supplies set aside for the students, but you must ask permission and should not be a regular occurrence.

2.  No talking after the bell. As soon as you get to class homework, books, and supplies should be out. Use the time before the bell wisely.

·       Work until the bell rings. Do not just pack up your things and sit there. If you are not working the teacher will give you something to work on.

3.  No going to the restroom during class. Go before you come to class. The only exception is sickness or an emergency.

4.  No talking. There will be times that the teacher will allow talking at her discretion. Failure to do so will result in a work detention.

5.  Homework will be given at the beginning week. It is your responsibility to keep up with the assignments. Failure to turn in homework on the day it is due will result in a homework slip and 0% will be given. Make sure all work is done completely or the same consequences will be given.

·       Interactive notebooks and science outlines will be checked on test days and wil be two homework grades. failure to have completed notes and all parts included in the interactive notebooks will be given a 0% and a homework slip.

·       All assignments should include first and last name, date, class, and assignment. Any work without a name will automatically get letter grade docked. Double check your work before handing it in! any assignments with multiple pages should have a name on each page or stapled together with name on first page.  

·       All tests and quizzes must be done in blue or black pen. Spelling words, interactive notebook notes, and outlines may be written in other colors that are legible. Any work not legible by the teacher will sent back to be redone. Any other work must be done in blue or black pen. The only time you are allowed to use pencil is for diagrams or rough drafts.

6.   After the lesson is taught, work on homework for current class first. You may work on another subject only after all work for current class is done and permission is given.

7.  Use cover sheet for all tests and quizzes. All grading must be done in green and include the name of grader. Grading must be done neatly with no drawing the paper. Desks must be clear for tests and quizzes

8.  Be prepared on assigned project days. Have all supplies and resources with you in class. A participation grade will be given on project days.  Those who are not prepared will receive a work detention and 0% for participation.

9.  Be respectful of others and their things.

10.   Before leaving classroom, check your area of any trash and push your chair in.
